HOW
DO I....
OBTAIN
A REPEAT PRESCRIPTION?
Sometimes a prescription is requested without seeing the doctor. If a consultation is not necessary, then a prescription will be ready for
collection after 48 hours. If a repeat prescription is requested then ideally you will drop the repeat prescription request, which is found on the right-hand side of your prescription, into our reception at least TWO days before you run out of medication. You will then be able to pick up your new prescription after 48 hours. Prescriptions can be collected after 9.00am Monday to Friday.
Most of the Bridlington chemists operate a delivery system for repeat prescriptions. Please ask at reception for details. Please telephone for repeat prescriptions only between 9.00am and 3.30pm. All patients on repeat prescriptions must see their doctor at least once a year. Most of the chemists in Bridlington close at 5.30pm. Please remember this when you make your appointment with the doctor. Give yourself sufficient time to have your prescription made up.
