FLAMBOROUGH SURGERY
A doctor attends this small branch
surgery on a rota basis Monday to Friday at 2.00pm. There is no appointment system, so please
be prompt as the doctor leaves when all waiting patients have been seen. While
most medical problems can be dealt with here, occasionally the doctor may ask
you to attend the Bridlington Surgery, where there are better facilities for examination
and investigation, and where your main medical notes are kept. Sister Cartwright
attends every Tuesday and Friday at 2.00pm for dressings, injections, ear wash-outs
and general advice. Cervical smears and immunisations can be carried out at Flamborough,
provided you ring the Bridlington Surgery in advance to let us know you are coming.
Out-of-Hours (6.00pm - 8.00am & Weekends)
The out-of-hours service is operated
by the East Riding of Yorkshire Primary Care Trust, whose telephone number is 0845
056 8060. The duty doctor will speak to you and will either advise you over the
telephone, ask you to attend the primary care centre or visit you at home if there
is a medical reason why you cannot travel.
If you need any advice about any health matters at any time you may ring NHS Direct. They provide a 24-hour nurse-led advice and information service. Any matter discussed will be regarded as confidential.
